My Impressions After Using a Smart Speaker

Last month, I bought a much-talked-about smart speaker. It certainly wasn't cheap, but after actually using it, I was surprised by how convenient it is. Just by speaking to it, it plays music or tells me the weather, so I can get information even while doing housework. However, in a room with a lot of background noise, even if I speak loudly to it, sometimes it fails to understand me properly. Still, I think there's a kind of value you only come to appreciate once you've gotten used to how to use it.

  • 「~上で」means 'having done ~' or 'based on the experience of ~', used to state something that follows from actually having done or experienced an action.
  • 「たとえ~ても」emphasizes a hypothetical situation and expresses that the result remains the same even under that condition, meaning 'even if ~'.
  • 「~てからでないと」means 'not until after ~' or 'unless one first does ~', expressing that something cannot happen or be understood without first completing another action.
