The Light Next Door
Every morning, by the time I leave home, the light in my neighbor's room is already off. But since last week, I've noticed that the light stays on late into the night. I thought something might be troubling them, but I can't bring myself to ask about their situation when we're not that close. It might just be that they're busy with work, but I also feel it must be something they're worried about. In the end, I said nothing and headed to the office as usual.
