The Well of the Mountain Village
Long ago, there was an old well in a mountain village that was said to be forbidden to look into. Villagers spoke as if a dragon slept at the bottom of the well, and warned their children never to go near it. One year, a long drought continued, and the village's fields dried up completely. When the desperate village chief quietly offered a prayer at the well, the next morning clear water overflowed from it and moistened the fields throughout the village, so it is said. Ever since then, this well has been carefully protected as a treasure of the village.
